Cross The Rubicon - Preface
Cross the Rubicon is a “faction” novel—a literary work blending factual events or real people with fictional storytelling—that aims to alert mankind. All mankind—especially devout Roman Catholics—should know and heed the warnings from Scripture, Oral Tradition and Catholic Prophecies from Marian Apparitions regarding the corrupt state of the institution called the Roman Catholic Church and the tragic consequences that will soon befall us in a very severe way.
The late Father Malachi Martin inspired me to write this novel, based on a conversation he and I shared, regarding his interest in writing a follow-up to his New York Times best-selling novel, Windswept House. He suggested that his next novel would address how the Church will persevere during the coming worldwide temporal and spiritual “Chastisement”. I am confident that this story tracks the conversation we had, attempting to mimic Fr. Martin’s style of writing a riveting plot contained within a faction novel.
This novel about the End Times follows the exploits of four devout Catholics whom Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI assigns to investigate the multitude of Marian Apparitions occurring worldwide. Based on his own visions and locutions, Benedict perceives that the Catholic Church is about to suffer its “Passion” while the world enters into World War III. He informs his personal secretary, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, of his visions and locutions. With Gänswein’s assistance, he forms an investigative team recruiting four members: Monsignor Christian Donoghue who works for the Holy See; Père Jacque de Tonquédec of the Society Jesuits, an exorcist and parish priest of St. Denis in Paris; Paul Donoghue, Christian’s brother and a prominent executive of the Bank For International Settlement (BIS); and Anthony Rossi, a former member of Navy SEAL Team 10, Petty Officer and recipient of the Medal of Honor.
The investigative team is forewarned of the dangers involved. Traitorous co-religious in the Vatican and Luciferian world leaders learn of the team’s plans and attempt to interfere and, if necessary, place the team members in mortal danger. Knowing they are in harm’s way, the team plans a covert operation, utilizing a network of reliable Catholics to assist them locally in each country. Several surprising situations arise during each visit to a Marian Apparition site, including miraculous occurrences that they personally experience. Each team member is personally challenged by the Blessed Virgin Mary and by every visionary and seer that they meet. Secrets are conveyed both collectively to the team as well as privately to each member.
Meanwhile, tragic and horrible events lead up to World War III, including a nuclear terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Amid the turmoil, a romantic, lasting relationship develops between Anthony and a Portuguese Catholic “Gata.” Throughout all the turmoil, love blooms. However, the mission must go on. The team must report its findings and conclusions to the pope. They must cleverly overcome many obstacles to return to the Vatican. Ramifications pose a danger to each team member and their loved ones.
As the reader progresses through the novel, it becomes apparent that centuries of Catholic End-Time prophecies may be fulfilled in our present times. Aside from the worldwide Chastisement and the start of World War III, the novel concludes with a spectacular miraculous event that will ultimately prove to be an important means of initiating the Catholic Counter-Revolution worldwide. And Pope Benedict? The four team members? What are their destinies? That is a revelation for the reader to ascertain.
