Why Catholics Should Not Support Israel and Zionism?

The Historical Context

Does anyone appreciate that the history of the Vatican and Israel has often been marked by a lack of recognition of Israel? This situation has largely stemmed from disputes over Jerusalem's status and the condition of Christian holy places. It wasn't until after the Oslo Accords that the Holy See recognized the State of Israel in 1993. This recognition was not an act of religious prohibition. Instead, it was a convenient acceptance of a political reality. The Catholic Church maintains a clear distinction between biblical Israel and the modern state of Israel. According to Catholic dogma, which Catholics must believe, the Jews do not have a God-given right to rule the Holy Land. The Church considers itself the spiritual descendant of God’s people—the new Israel.

The Role of Christian Zionism

So-called Christian and Zionist U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee recently responded to a statement from the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land. This statement criticized individuals who “advance damaging ideologies, such as Christian Zionism,” which they claim mislead the public, sow confusion, and harm the unity of the Christian flock. Huckabee's response indicated that “Christians are followers of Christ, and a Zionist simply accepts that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient, indigenous, and Biblical homeland.”

The Reality on the Ground

However, has Huckabee, a Protestant Zionist, not noticed that Christians in the occupied West Bank continue to face aggression from illegal Israeli settlers? According to Auxiliary Bishop William Shomali of Jerusalem, the aggressions against Christians in the West Bank are multiplying. He reported that these settlers threaten their presence in the region. Shomali noted that Israeli settlers have prevented Palestinian Christians from accessing their land through various threats, physical aggression, and property damage, including burning their cars.

He specifically mentioned the Christian village of Taybeh, where these incidents have been reported. Despite communicating this alarming news to the world, including the American ambassador in Tel Aviv, little has been done to address the situation. Settlers have been coming to Birzeit, a Palestinian Christian town, "almost every day" to threaten residents in their homes or workplaces. Shomali called on the Church to intervene and provide aid for those struggling to survive. "This has become a real threat to Christian families," he added.

The Impact on Christian Communities

Moreover, Shomali highlighted that Israeli settlers have recently occupied land belonging to a convent of sisters in a village near Bethlehem called Urtas. The sisters have a hill where they grow olives and other crops. Settlers have claimed this hill, intending to build a new settlement. The bishop described how settlers entered a piece of land and placed an Israeli flag to signify that the land now belongs to Israel, despite a deed of ownership held by a Christian family from Beit Sahour.

Despite these troubling developments, many so-called Christian Zionists—including Catholics like Emmy-winning actress Patricia Heaton, prominent theologian Gavin D’Costa, and Catholic scholar Dr. Andre Villeneue—continue to ignore the warnings from the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land. They overlook the claims of Aramean Christians and the reality that Israel treats Christians as separate but equal, often persecuting them.

The Scriptural Perspective

These Zionists conveniently ignore what Christ Himself stated about the Jews. Ask a Zionist Catholic to explain Israel today in light of the following Holy Scripture:

St. John 8:49-59 states: “Jesus answered: I have not a devil: but I honour my Father, and you have dishonoured me. But I seek not my own glory; there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Amen, amen I say to you: If any man keep my word, he shall not see death for ever. The Jews therefore said: Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest: If any man keep my word, he shall not taste death for ever. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? and the prophets are dead. Whom dost thou make thyself? Jesus answered: If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifieth me, of whom you say that he is your God. And you have not known him, but I know him. And if I shall say that I know him not, I shall be like to you, a liar. But I do know him, and do keep his word.”

Understanding the Implications

This passage underscores a critical point: the Jews do not recognize who God truly is—the Holy Trinity, with Jesus Christ as the Father’s only begotten Son. Did they listen to Moses in the desert? Why did the Israelites build a golden calf to worship the Egyptian god?

While we are at it, why do present-day Jews utilize the so-called “Star of David”? Do Catholics understand that the origin of this hexagram is rooted in Egypt during Moses’ time and is associated with demons? This symbol consists of a six within a six within a six (six points, six triangles, six sides of the hexagon in the middle) and is linked to the 666 prophecies in the Book of Daniel regarding the "willful King" (anti-Christ) and the "mark of the beast."

The Historical Context of the Star of David

Do Catholics realize that this hexagram image was originally adopted by an errant King Solomon for mystical purposes? In 922 B.C., Solomon married the daughter of Pharaoh and engaged in magic and witchcraft, even building an altar to Asherah and Moloch. Why did the Israelites commit such a blasphemy and offer their children in a fire-furnace to the god, Moloch?

The hexagram image is also associated with “Amsu,” the risen Horus, the first man-god risen in spiritual form in ancient Egyptian beliefs. The present-day “secret” view among some Jewish leaders is that the Star of David honors Lucifer, disguised as Remphan, the ancient Egyptian “Star” god. Recall St. Stephen’s speech before his martyrdom in Acts of the Apostles 7:39-43: “Whom our fathers would not obey; but thrust him away, and in their hearts turned back into Egypt, Saying to Aaron: Make us gods to go before us. For as for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. And God turned, and gave them up to serve the host of heaven, as it is written in the books of the prophets: Did you offer victims and sacrifices to me for forty years, in the desert, O house of Israel? And you took unto you the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rempham, figures which you made to adore them. And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.”

The Consequences of Ignorance

In St. John 8:44-45, Jesus said, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof. But if I say the truth, you believe me not

Why do Catholics support a race that:

  • Denies the divinity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God?

  • Ignores that the Jews cursed themselves in crucifying Jesus, as stated in St. Matthew 27:24-25: “And Pilate, seeing that he prevailed nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, taking water, washed his hands before the people, saying: I am innocent of the blood of this just man; look you to it. And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.

  • Overlooks that the state or the “Kingdom of Israel” and the “Third Temple” are prerequisites for the arrival of the Antichrist?

Catholics typically do not study key Scriptural passages and contemplate how they apply here. These passages include Daniel 9:27, St. Matthew 24:15, St. Mark 13:14, St. Paul 2nd Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1-2. When interpreted together, these passages suggest that the Antichrist's rise to power and his subsequent persecution of believers hinges upon his control of a restored Jewish nation and temple in the End Times.

The Influence of Occultism

Many Catholics have adopted the theology promoted by Israeli Regardie, an influential English occultist and author. Regardie revealed that the “Hexagrams of Saturn,” or the Star of David, are used in his magical initiation rites.

Why are Catholics indifferent to the highest Illuminati religious symbol, the Star of David with a circle around it? The Illuminati refer to it as the “great seal of Solomon,” using it secretly in their highest ceremonies to invoke the demonic. And why is this demonic hexagram featured on the back of a U.S. Dollar bill?

By the way, do Catholics understand that the word “hex” also means to place a curse on someone? If you are a Catholic citizen in the United States, why do you not take exception to law enforcement officers using a six-pointed star as their badge?

The Call to Awareness

The point here is that Catholics worldwide are not only ignorant but indifferent about the existence of the state of Israel, the demonic leadership of Israel, and the country’s troubling history of persecuting Catholics, especially throughout the Middle East. Compromised Catholic Church leaders refuse to be militant against the policies of Western Governments regarding Talmudic Jewry, Freemasonry, and the politics of the state of Israel. The most obvious examples of this are the illegitimate, illegal wars against Iran, Lebanon, and the poor souls in Gaza.

May I conclude with a prophetic quote from, of all people, Voltaire, which I recommend Catholics contemplate: “Jews are, all of them, born with raging fanaticism in their hearts, just as Germans are born with blond hair. I would not be the least bit surprised if Jews someday become deadly to the entire human race.

Being in the “End Times,” rest assured that indifferent Catholics will rue the day when the “Chastisement” escalates and World War III is in full bloom. God will not be mocked.
